Worship for August 30, 2020

Welcome to worship at Faith Lutheran Church in Washington! We are blessed to have you share with us!

Another option this week is to watch the recorded service with others at 10:30 a.m. Sunday with a Zoom link. We sent a link for that in the email notice of the service this week. You can also call or email Pastor John if you have questions. The Zoom gathering will allow you to greet one another before the service, and chat back and forth if you like.

We have enjoyed a number of outdoor services by the pavilion this summer. We plan for another this Sunday, August 30 at 9 a.m. We also plan outdoor services for September 13 and 27, weather and pandemic permitting. People of all ages are welcome to worship with us outside, but we ask you to be careful to keep your distance. Masks are highly recommended. Thanks to our worship participants today.

We are blessed today to have Karen Pettyjohn as our reader. Sharon Riggins is the organist and the Rothfusz family provides worship music.

Make ready to share worship with us in your home. Light a candle to make a sacred space. Pour a bowl of water as we give thanks for the forgiveness and new life we find in baptism. Get out a Red Book to sing along (Pastor John would be happy to bring you one of these). You are welcome to greet one another on the Faith Lutheran Facebook page if you want to chat together as you worship. We are together in faith, even as we worship at a distance for this time. God bless and keep you, and hold you close!
